In the match between AS Muhanga and La Jeunesse FC from Mumena, the fourth referee was beaten and taken off the field.

These riots took place in the match of the 15th day of the league of the second division in the second group (B).
This beating of the referee Kane, was due to the denial of the goal of La Jeunesse FC scored by Nshimiye Saidi, which was rejected by the referee.
The player did not understand why his goal was disallowed and yet it paid off for AS Muhanga’s victory.
After some of the La Jeunesse players insulted the referee, Nshimiye Saidi was shown a red card but the game ended.
The referees didn’t get there because the fourth referee went to save his teammate, and ended up being the one who got hit until he was taken out of the field because he couldn’t control himself.
After all these riots, the National Police arrested some of those involved and took them to the National Police Station (RIB) of Nyamabuye Sector.
