President Paul Kagame welcomed the Director of Diplomacy of the Chinese Communist Party, which is in power in China, Liu Jianchao, and the delegation he is leading on a visit to Rwanda.

Liu Jianchao says that his visit to Rwanda aims to strengthen the existing good relations between the two sides.
On the first day of his visit to Rwanda, the leader held talks with the General Secretary of the RPF-Inkotanyi Organization, Amb. Gasamagera Wellars, the discussions took place at the headquarters of RPF in Rusororo in Gasabo District.
After the talks, the two leaders signed a cooperation agreement, aimed at strengthening cooperation and good relations between the two sides.
The signed agreement aims to help both sides share knowledge and experience in governance, especially to build and establish a school of the RPF-Inkotanyi organization that teaches governance.
Liu Jianchao and Gasamagera Wellars emphasized that the relationship between the two sides has been going on for a long time, which is why it is time for the friendship between the people themselves to take a significant step.The head of diplomacy in the Chinese Communist Party, Liu Jianchao, in the early hours of Wednesday, July 26, 2023, visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial, and bowed to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsis.
